I have cited references in square brackets, mostly the standard Muybridge biographies, and some additional important journal articles. By referring to these secondary sources, researchers will find details of primary sources, and also (in most cases) much more detail of the events and publications listed. I have also included my own research; both those events included in Eadweard Muybridge: The Kingston Museum Bequest, and subsequent discoveries.
